Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using MapHue ("Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service description

MapHue provides tools to create, customize, and export choropleth maps. The Service is provided "as is." We may modify features at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Accounts & credits

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• Credits are non-transferable. Top-up credits expire 12 months after purchase.
• Pro subscription credits roll over each billing cycle up to stated limits.
• We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of data you upload to MapHue. By uploading data, you grant MapHue a limited license to process it solely to provide the Service. We do not use your uploaded data to train AI models.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use MapHue to:

• Upload or generate content that is illegal, defamatory, or misleading.
• Reverse-engineer or scrape the Service at scale.
• Resell or sublicense MapHue exports for use in a competing mapping tool.

6. Map exports & attribution

Maps exported from MapHue may be used in publications, presentations, and commercial work without attribution (though we appreciate a mention). Boundary data is from Natural Earth (Public Domain). See our about page for data source details.

7. Refunds

Subscription payments are refundable within 7 days of first payment. Top-up credits are non-refundable after use. Contact hello@maphue.com for refund requests.

8. Limitation of liability

MapHue is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our maximum liability is limited to amounts paid in the 3 months preceding a claim.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where MapHue is incorporated. Disputes will be resolved via binding arbitration.
