Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Account data: email address, name, and (if using Google OAuth) your Google profile picture.
Usage data: map creation events, export actions, and AI query counts. Collected via PostHog (privacy-first analytics, memory-only mode until consent).
Payment data: billing is handled entirely by Creem. We do not store card numbers or billing addresses.
Maps data: the map configurations you save to your account, stored in Cloudflare D1.

2. How we use your data

To operate your account and deliver the MapHue service.
To process payments and maintain your credit balance.
To improve the product through aggregate analytics (PostHog).
To send transactional emails (purchase receipts, password resets) via Resend.

3. Cookies

MapHue uses a single session cookie for authentication (Better Auth). Analytics (PostHog) run in cookieless memory-only mode by default. On consent, PostHog may set a persistent cookie to improve session tracking.

4. Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@maphue.com. Deleted accounts are purged within 30 days.

5. Third-party services

Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, D1 database, R2 storage (EU/US data centers)
Creem — payment processing (PCI-compliant Merchant of Record)
Resend — transactional email
PostHog — privacy-first analytics
OpenAI — AI intent parsing (queries are not stored by MapHue beyond the current session)
